What Conversion Is, and Does. Conversion is often thought to be just a change of loyalty from one religion to another, but it is far more. It involves a great change in one's life, and a new experience of God Himself. Here are the details of what Christ does for us.

True Worship. When Paul says everyone had a psalm, doctrine, tongue, etc, for worship, he obviously refers to the recognised leaders of the church, as we prove here. These are his inspired directions for orderly worship that includes the full biblical 'agenda', and glorifies Christ.

Lifting Up the Soul. Not blissful happiness or 'Christian hedonism', because in a world of sin there are countless griefs and trials, but the lifting up of the inner person. This psalm remarkably conducts us through an agenda for thanksgiving and reflection that greatly strengthens and gladdens the heart.

Understanding is the Key. Amidst clear teaching on the limited purpose of the temporary gift of tongues-speaking, and the paramount place of understanding in worship, Paul reveals the four 'departments' or objectives of all teaching and ministry, and the nature of evangelism. Here also prophecy is defined.

Losing the Soul. In the parable of the rich fool, Christ the Lord, shows us our self-confidence, self-esteem, self-consideration and self-destruction. We see all that we lose by a life of materialism, and its inherent foolishness. Here, Christ pleads with our souls.
